Digital Cable TV QAM /QAM Agile Transmodulator


MDH-1000TM is a Digital Video Broadcast-Cable (DVB-C) TV QPSK/QAM Full Frequency Range Agile Transmodulator, which combines the digital satellite QPSK (DVB-S) demodulator and digital cable QAM (DVB-C) modulator in a single unit. MDH-1000TM is designed to receive DVB TS signal (transport stream) from satellite or other digital headend devices, then to modulate and channel code into DVB-C format, MDH-1000TM will output the up-converted DVB-C signal to the CATV system (47MHz~860MHz). The signal from satellite should be QPSK demodulated directly, or the signal can be supplied by other devices (for examples, MPEG2 Multiplexer, Encode, digital Video server) from its DVB-ASI or DVB-SPI (LVDS) interface input. The QAM modulation could be chosen among 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 level numbers. MDH-1000TM also has the package stuffing function for low rate stream input. Microyal's MDH-1000TM Digital Cable TV QPSK/QAM Agile Transmodulator is mainly used in digital CATV system. It could be used to transmodulate the digital satellite signal from DVB-S/QPSK to DVB-C/QAM; It also could be used as a DVB-C/QAM modulator when using the DVB-ASI or DVB-SPI signal input. MDH-1000TM has LCD monitor and front panel key pad for easy operation, and it is suitable for 19'' rack with 1U height. It is the most economical and the most efficient choice for up-grading the exist CATV systems and MMDS systems.
